Books that are PERFECT for Easter Baskets
Easter is right around the corner! You know that means some beautiful books should will be placed in gifts. I always gift my daughter a couple of books each year for Easter and love to put some different curiosities in the eggs for the Easter egg hunt.
There are so many wonderful books that can be used year-round that do not have to be exactly for Easter….
For instance, Golden Books have a few adorable books about baby animals that would be perfect for spring!
And plants! Spring time is the perfect time to read about the beautiful flowers and veggies that start to grow during this season. When my daughter was younger, these two books were in her Easter basket and she loved them! The colors are what drew her in over and over again.
Of course, we had to have a few silly books too. The Good Egg, definitely fit the bill!
Chickens on the Loose was also a huge hit in our house!
Some of my favorite Easter basket books were some classic bunny books that I wanted to add to our collection.
I Am a Bunny by Richard Scarry
It’s Not Easy Being a Bunny by Mailyn Sadler
Pat The Bunny by Dorothy Kunhardt
Marshmallow by Clare Turley Newberry
Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter
As my daughter started to transition out of picture books and into chapter books, I started to picture books in series she liked. They did not have to be bunny or egg related but something she would be excited to get! I have not picked out everything for her Easter basket yet but there WILL BE SOME MADLIBS! Right now, I put Madlibs in all her gifts! She is obsessed and honestly so am I. I love to hear her laughing while secretly working on parts of speech. They are amazing!
I will be sure to share what I put into her basket (or bag, sometimes I forgo the basket). The baskets have gotten smaller as the price for each item has increases. Instead of a dollar store toys, she wants a new skirt or something that makes me feel like she is growing up to fast! Don’t worry, she will still get a couple new books…. I MUST gift her books after all.
